We took a trip to Hibbing in Mid-October so Great Grandma Barbaro could see Vinny and meet Talia for the first time. Despite the fact that the inside temperature of the house was about 88 degrees.....we still had a nice toasty visit!

Friday, October 12th, 2007. Vinny was a good boy all week so, he got to visit Mommy at work on Friday morning. We started off our day in the cafeteria. They were serving Vinny's favorite, french toast. After breakfast, we went to my desk to check things out.

Talia got to join in all the fun too!

Vinny enjoyed the phone system the most. Gee, imagine that!

Indian Summer

I know, I am a slow blogger, but some things just can't be helped.

Last Sunday was so warm, we decided to enjoy it while we could. We accepted an invitation to swim in our friends pool. One last dip before the frost comes! Talia modeled her 12 month size bathing suit. Good thing we tried it on her! If we waited another six months, it would be a little snug!

Vinny and Mom took a trip to a local park where he was able to feed the ducks. The ducks were very appreciative!

All the ducks gathered and Vinny fed them until they were full!

State Fair 2007- Good Times!

MOVE THAT BUS! Extreme Leinie Lodge Makeover!

While some family in Minnetonka was receiving their Extreme Home Makeover, Miller Brewing built us a new Leinie Lodge. It is still a temporary structure, it comes down every year after the fair, but it's a nice improvement.

Joseph and Maria accompany Vinny on the tame rides so he doesn't have to go all by himself.

Halfway through the fair, Mickey had a TIA (stroke) that scared all of us very much. The ambulance came to the house and took Mickey to St. Josephs hospital in St. Paul. Mickey missed the kids, so Vinny and Talia made a special visit to cheer up their Papa! We are happy to report that Mickey is home after three days of tests and is back to enjoying his retirement!

Brian worked open to close every single day of the fair. Daddy was very excited to spend some time with his girl when she came to visit.

After spending several years at the State Fair, Joe and Maria McDonald have mastered the art of Midway Games. Here, Talia and Vinny surround themselves with a few of the prizes that were gifted to them on behalf of their cousins!

2007 Leinie Lodge Season

The 2007 Leinie Lodge Season begins Thursday, August 23rd at the Minnesota State Fair! You will find us on the east end of the grounds next to the Leinie Lodge Bandshell. Please stop by and say "Hello"!

State Fair Time!

Hello!

Not that this will be a surprise to anyone, but there is a good chance that we won't post any new pictures during the MN State Fair. However, never say never. We will see what happens. If you are at the Fair stop by and see the new Leinie Lodge! See you after Labor Day!
